The students in my class are Wild About Reading! Starting in January, each student will have the opportunity to take home a Literacy Bag. There are 28 Literacy Bags to choose from. Students will take a Literacy Bag home on Thursday and it must be returned the following Wednesday so I can check them in before the next Thursday. Each bag shares a common theme and are for students to share with their parents at home. Each Literacy Bag will contain 3-5 books, a response journal and an activity. Before each child can take home a Literacy Bag, parents and students will need to sign and Literacy Bag Contract. If you don't bring the Literacy Bag back with everything inside, you will not be allowed to take another Literacy Bag home until the items are found and returned.
